The Savannah Electrical Training Alliance (SETA) will host a Skills Day Competition Oct. 22, the first of its kind in the region.

The event is open to the public and will be located in the picnic area of J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.

Activities start at 10 a.m. and run until approximately 4 p.m.

“We are an apprenticeship program for industrial and commercial electricians,” says Wayne Huggins, Georgia NECA Executive Director.

“This event is designed to test the skills of our apprentices, and allow the community and family members come out to see what our profession is all about,” Huggins added. “It’s also a great opportunity for anyone who may be looking for a future career.”

In addition to the friendly competition among the apprentice electricians, there will also be family activities such as a bounce house, dunk tank, corn hole, and arts and crafts. J.F. Gregory Park is located at 521 Cedar Street in Richmond Hill.
