Tater Golf Scramble
A golf tournament has been set for Sept. 24 to help the family of Jessica “Tater” Eason, 13, who has brain cancer, pay bills.
The granddaughter of Sgt. Gary Eason with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office was found to have a golf ball-size tumor at the base of her skull in December. In February, doctors were able to remove 75 percent of the tumor, but not all of it because it had grown around the brain stem. Jessica continues to have severe headaches and has to endure months of treatments.
The tournament will be at Cherokee rose Country Club in Hinesville. It is a four-person scramble. The entry fee is $50 per person. Two mulligans are included.
Sponsors are welcome at $50, $100 and $200.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. and tee-off at 9 a.m. Cash prizes and awards will be given. For more information call Matt Marchand at 912-610-3345, Tabatha Marchand at 912-977-0975 or Tim Blanton at 912-617-4900.
