The Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting a tour of Liberty County for local real estate professional on May 12.

The tour will start at 1:30 p.m. from the LCCVB offices in the historic Bacon-Fraser House, 208 E. Court St. The group will walk to the Hinesville Area Arts Council Gallery, where Michelle Ricketson, director of the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, will discuss downtown growth and upcoming events. The tour then heads to Dorchester Academy, Seabrook Village and Fort Morris State Historic Site.

The tour is to provide realtors with information about the area, so they can describe attractions, events and historic sites to potential home buyers.

An RSVP and a deposit of $10 are required to get a space on the tour. Space is limited and distributed on a first-come basis. Transportation will be provided. Casual attire and comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended.

The LCCVB will also host cocktails for an hour at the Sunbury Crab Co. following the tour. Those who choose to stay for dinner may do so at their own expense. The tour bus will depart from the restaurant at 6 p.m. to return to the LCCVB offices.

Those who stay for dinner will have to arrange their own transportation home. RSVP to tourism@libertycounty.org by Monday. Call 912-368-3580 with questions.
