Track governor's European tour on Web

ATLANTA — Governor Sonny Perdue has set up a Web site so citizens can follow his two-week economic development and diplomatic mission to Europe. The site is www.StateofGeorgiaMissions.com
The Web site is designed to serve as a travel journal and a central source of information, chronicling the delegation’s meetings with leaders of commerce, industry, education and government in six European nations visited.
The site will be updated frequently throughout the mission with journal entries from the governor and other senior delegation members. Press releases and photographs will also be posted to the site.  For those who seek more information about the places visited on the mission, links are provided to the embassies and consulates of those countries.
Last month Perdue announced he would lead a state delegation on a mission to Europe from June 18 to June 29. The mission is taking the governor to six countries, including the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland), France, the Czech Republic, Germany and Belgium. The governor’s delegation includes Lt. Governor Casey Cagle, state Senator Eric Johnson, officials from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, business leaders from various Georgia industries and civic leaders from Georgia communities.
Perdue’s mission will focus on several key sectors, including aerospace, automotive and life sciences. He will also meet with heads of state and government throughout Europe.
