Liberty, Long schools call off Friday classes

Cancellation of events scheduled for today, Friday and even Saturday have started.

LeConte-Woodmanston Plantation's Mary Beth Evans reports the nature/history area is calling off its Super Saturday because of the weather.

Update: According to superintendent, Dr. Robert Waters, all Long County Schools will be closed tomorrow as a result of road conditions and bad weather.

According to Jason Rogers all Liberty County Schools will be closed tomorrow.  However, all 240-day and 255-day employees should report to schools when safe.

"Based upon the recommendations from LHEMA officials that certain roads may be impassible during the morning commute, we decided for the safety of our students to cancel school," Rogers said.
