Organizers for the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce are expecting to draw a crowd tonight for the group’s Hinesville city-wide political forum.
The event starts at 6 p.m. inside the Brewton-Parker College auditorium and will feature all four mayoral candidates as well as several candidates seeking council seats in the city’s five districts.

Submit questions
Audience members will have an opportunity to submit questions on any topic as they arrive, while leadership within the chamber may also include questions about the local business economy.

Receive a booklet
Additionally, attendees will receive a candidate review booklet with information submitted by each contender to keep as a reference guide throughout the remainder of the election season.
The chamber’s executive director, Kenny Smiley, said he is looking forward to a large turnout for the forum.
Admission is free.
“The chamber of commerce is always excited to host our political forum so that our local constituents can get a good idea of where each candidate stands on certain local issues,” he said. “We invite the entire community to come out and participate in our forum.”
