The Hi-Fidelity Civic Club of Hinesville recently presented a check for $3,500 to the Liberty County School System to benefit the REACH Scholar fund for the 2020-2021 school year.

REACH (Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen), Georgia is a needs-based scholarship and mentoring program providing academically promising middle school students with the academic, social, and financial support needed to graduate high school and attend college with up to $10,000 in scholarship funds. The Liberty County School System currently has five REACH Georgia Scholars in the 2019-2020 eighth grade cohort. The school district is responsible for a raising a portion of the money per scholar and can have up to five scholars next school year. The $3,500 donated by the Hi-Fidelity Civic Club is the amount needed by the school system to fund one REACH scholar for the 2020-2021 school year. If you or your club are interested in funding an LCSS REACH Scholar, visit the Breaking News section of the Liberty County School System webpage or contact Dr. Kathy Moody.
