HINESVILLE, Ga. January 06, 2022 — Coastal Solar is proud to announce more than one million dollars in USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grants have been awarded to their clients across the United States.
That’s a million dollars towards making both farms and rural businesses more financially independent.
That means more financial stability for their clients and less reliance on big power monopolies. Ultimately, it’s more power in the hands of the small business owners that keep America running.
Clay Sikes, owner and CEO of Coastal Solar said, “I can think of no better way to support the resilience of American independence than bolstering the food supply right here on our own soil by giving American farmers a tool that can instantly improve their bottom line. It provides immediate relief to their expenses adding a depreciable asset to their books. I’ve been in business for more than 50 years and this is the best opportunity I’ve ever seen to support our future generations.”
Grants and loans are available to many different types of qualifying organizations.
REAP grants cover up to 25% of the costs of a new solar power system installation. Combined with other tax incentives, like the federal Investment Tax Credit, farmers and rural businesses can have half of their costs accounted for before drawing a dime out of their own pocket.
Solar Power is a good financial option without these incentives — it saves far more money long-term than it costs initially. But the grants mean a faster payback period and less money in the hands of bureaucrats.
Coastal Solar has become known across the country for their near-perfect success rate with the acceptance of grant applications. The Coastal Solar team employs experts who write grants on behalf of their clients. That, paired with solid relationships and trust built with USDA officials across America, has led to unparalleled success.
In fact, in 2020, 100% of Coastal Solar USDA REAP grant applications in Georgia were approved.
Coastal Solar’s original focus was on poultry farms and has even created a dedicated division devoted to delivering solar power for farmers across the United States. The poultry industry still looks to Coastal Solar as the renewable energy expert — gaining trust from the community through honest assessments of each project’s financial viability and exceeding installation, performance, and maintenance expectations for each and every client.
Coastal Solar’s new division was recently featured in American Poultry Farmer magazine and Coastal Solar was even used as a shining example in a session about renewable energy in the United States Congress.
In the coming years, Coastal plans to secure millions more in grants to help their clients build their own independence-producing, profit-boosting, environmentally-friendly power plants
