Bethel AME Church Citizens Relying on Spiritual Servants (CROSS) C.R.O.S.S. in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Savannah are open to those in need on the 4th Saturday of every month. Food Bags will be given out from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

C.R.O.S.S. has a clothing ministry giveaway on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. The ministry is open from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

School Uniforms are also available. Bethel AME Church 233 Gause Street, Rev. Debra Chaney 912369-2417 The Liberty County Republican Party holds monthly meetings on the First Thursday of every month at the La Quinta Inn and Suites 1740 E Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, GA 31313 at 6 p.m.

Flemington workshop The Mayor and Council of the City of Flemington will conduct a Council Workshop on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 beginning at 3:00 p.m. The purpose of the Workshop is to discuss a millage rate, audio/video needs and raising the hotel-motel tax rate from 5 percent to 8 percent. Interested persons are invited to attend in person at 156 Old Sunbury Rd or view on Facebook Live. A face mask is required for unvaccinated attendees.

The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the Hospital Authority of Liberty County will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 at 12:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at Liberty Regional Medical Center in their classroom. St. James Community Church is celebrating their 42nd Black History program celebration on Friday, February 4th (Dr. Alvin Jackson) at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church and Saturday, February 5th, 2022 (Representative Al Williams) at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at 7:00 pm.
