Peaceful Protest

The United Ministerial Alliance is hosting a peaceful protest Thursday at 6 p.m. The group will meet at the parking lot of Planet Fitness and will march to the Justice Center. Liberty County Sheriff Steve Sikes and Hinesville Police Chief Bill Kirkendall will be at the protest to show solidarity and honor the memory of Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and Breanna Taylor.

HPD Summer cookouts

Save the date for the Hinesville Police Department summer 2020 installments of the Community Cookouts. HPD will be out in town on Fridays from 6 - 8 p.m. for cookouts in your district! Attendees will be able to grab a FREE hot dog, chips and a drink, visit with HPD and other vendors and play games - courtesy of the YMCA Liberty Branch’s Y on Wheels program.

The Liberty County Convention & Visitors Bureau (LCCVB) will host its bi-monthly board meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom meeting.

The meeting purpose is to make decisions, discuss previous events, go over the agenda, plan and evaluate future events, promotions, and solve any problems.

Liberty County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce 15th Annual Golf Classic, which was originally planned for Friday, May 29th has been rescheduled to Sept. 25. The tournament will take place at Cherokee Rose.
