Keep Liberty Beautiful recycle it fairs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Walthourville City Hall and the Liberty County Community Complex in Midway. Bring in your old cellphones, household batteries, ink and toner cartridges, household goods, flat screen TVs, old clothing and shoes old books, medications car batteries and so much more. The Shredding truck will be at the Liberty County Community Complex location to help destroy documents.

The Glennville Sweet Onion Festival will be held this Saturday, May 8, 2021, on downtown Barnard Street, from Hwy. 301 to Tillman Street. No gate fee is charged for admittance to the festival, so bring the entire family. The festival opens downtown at 9 a.m. with over 60 craft vendors exhibiting and over a dozen food booths, with fried sweet onion rings and blooming onions included. Bagged Vidalia sweet onions will be available for purchase, courtesy of Bland Farms, with proceeds to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
