Along with the upcoming elections to fill state and county political offices, some Hinesville voters will elect a new city council member this year.
Former Hinesville City Council Member Bobby Ryon automatically vacated the District 2 council seat when he qualified on July 2 to run for Liberty County Sheriff. Ryon said he regrets leaving the district’s constituents “hanging,” but said he is committed to running for sheriff.
