County commission agenda set

The Liberty Commission faces a long and potentially discordant agenda when they hold their delayed October meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Commission Marion Stevens will bring a report from his committee examining concerns about the Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission and the LCPC portion of the meeting will include consideration — again — of a controversial fence at Yellow Bluff.
Also on Tuesday’s agenda is a draft resolution to abandon Yellow Bluff Road. Saying the public no longer uses the road, the resolution authorizes public notice and meeting required by state law for abandonment.

Other agenda items
* Yellow Bluff concerns, to be discussed by Gary Barnes,
* A polycart implementation report from solid waste chief Dave Sapp,
* A discussion of Butter Blount Road drainage by Robert Sauls,
* A technical amendment to the conservation easement which benefits Hampton Island,
* The report of the Citizens Advisory Committee, chaired by John Henderson.
The commissioners also plan a closed-door session to discuss legal and land acquisition.
