The millage rate for the county will stay the same as it has the past three years, County Finance Officer Kim McGlothlin said Thursday during the county commission’s the mid-month meeting.
Commissioners voted to keep the rate at 11.98 mills for the fiscal year.
The rate, originally 14.615 in 2003, has decreased because county departments are “utilizing some of the reassessed growth while maintaining a lean budget,” McGlothlin said.
