County opens second polling place

Despite an earlier decision to not open up more early voting sites in Liberty County, Elections Supervisor Ella Golden got approval this morning for a second site just in time for three more days of early voting.
The second early voting site opened at noon today at the Midway Civic Center, which is the former Liberty Elementary on Highway 84.
County Commissioner Marion Stephens said he second site is more convenient for residents of Sunbury, Midway, and the Riceboro areas.
"This is going to be convenient because of limited parking in Hinesville," Stephens said. "The people of Liberty County deserve a second location."
The polls will be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. through Friday.
