DAV to host bowling fundraiser Saturday

The Disabled American Veterans, Chapter #46 in Hinesville will host a bowling fundraiser at Marne Lanes on Fort Stewart this Saturday, Sept. 29. 

Proceeds to the local chapter will be used to aid disabled veterans in the community and day-to-day operational activities of the chapter. These include free claims services to veterans, homeless assistance and assistance with utilities.  

Registration is at noon and bowling begins at 1 p.m. Bring a team or be placed on a team. The registration fee is $20. The team with the highest score will win $200. The individual with the highest score will win a new bowling ball. Doubles with the highest score get a gift card and trophy. The individual with the lowest score will receive a “mystery gift.”

Children will win prizes too. First place for youngsters is a trophy and gift card. Second place is a trophy, and third place is another “mystery gift.”

Pizza, drinks and bowling shoes will be provided.
