Work on I-95 nightly the rest of the week could cause delays for northbound motorists.
The state Department of Transportation announced today that two of the three northbound lanes between mile posts 68 and 71 and between mps 71 and 74 will be closed from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The closures are to allow for work on bridge approaches, a DOT release said.
DOT urged caution driving through the work zone.
Also, if you're driving into Savannah late Thursday or early Friday, look for possible slow downs on Highway 204. The DOT said one eastbound lane of the feeder into Savannah will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday.
If you have questions about either project, call Troy Pittman at the Savannah Georgia DOT Area office: (912) 651-2144.
You can also call 511 for updated information about this or any other construction projects across the state. And more information is available at www.511ga.org.
