LUDOWICI — Long County starts advanced voting on Nov. 24 and continues it through Nov. 26. Hours will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
“People need to know that the election still isn’t over, there are still important offices, yet to be determined. We are urging all people in Long County to come out and vote,” Chief Registrar Terry Gordon said.
Offices still to be determined include the U.S. Senate race, which pits incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss against Democrat Jim Martin.
Also on the ballot is the Public Service Commissioner race, which has Republican Lauren W. McDonald Jr. against Democrat Jim Powell. The final race is for nonpartisan Court of Appeals Georgia judge, which has Sarah Doyle against Mike Sheffield.
Voting will be at the Long County Courthouse in the commission meeting office.
The runoff election is scheduled for Dec. 2.
