Liberty County Schools Superintendent Dr. Valya S. Lee recently was honored by the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus for her contributions to education.
The ceremony, held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, celebrated educators whose contributions are noteworthy in helping to advance the educational outcomes in students attending Title I schools. Organizers said Lee was selected because she has motivated faculty, staff and students to make the effort to succeed.
“I am thrilled to be recognized by a distinguished group such as the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus,” Lee said. “As a longtime educator, it is extremely pleasing to know that my unwavering dedication to student achievement has not gone unnoticed.”
