Bradwell Institute recently held its third Georgia Apply to College event.
One-hundred and thirty-four seniors participated, and 31 sat in on the scholarship-essay-writing seminar given by Melody Rodriguez of Armstrong Atlantic State University.
Of those 31 seniors, four have been accepted to college. The other 103 students worked on college applications in the computer labs.
Thirteen community volunteers were present, as were representatives from several colleges and organizations, such as College of Coastal Georgia, Savannah Technical College, Altamaha Technical College, Armstrong Atlantic State University and Georgia Power, among others.
In the computer labs, 179 applications were started and 121 applications were completed. Thirty-nine applications were submitted online.
