Students from Liberty College and Career Academy competed in regional SkillsUSA competitions on Feb. 5  in Brunswick.  

Students participated in six competitions, three of which will now compete at the state-level in Atlanta on March 16-18.

Students who placed in their competitions were:

Brandon Sookkasem, extemporaneous speaking, first place;

Alyssa Markey, first aid/CPR, second place;

Daniel King, graphic communication, second place;

Candace Willis, job interview, third place; and

Kaci McGirt, prepared speech.

In addition to these regional competitors, five additional students will also compete at the state level in March in areas that don’t have regional competitions.  In all, 10 Liberty College and Career Academy students will contend with other students from across Georgia.
