The Coastal Georgia Area Community Action Authority joins with the Georgia Community Action Association in announcing the availability of one $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a Georgia resident currently attending a post secondary school or who has been accepted to one.
The individual must be income eligible, in accordance with Community Services Block Grant guidelines, and be successfully judged as a winner in an essay writing competition. The essay is to be entitled, "What Has the Community Action Movement Meant to My Community," and is to be no more than three typewritten pages, double-spaced. Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on May 21.
The association is for professionals from 20 member agencies across the state, one of which is the Coastal GA Area CAA.
