Mary Edwards, LCSS transition coordinator for Liberty County Schools, has been elected president of the Division on Career Development and Transition, a special interest division of the Council for Exceptional Children in Georgia.
The division focuses on career development of individuals with disabilities and/or who are gifted and their transition from school to adult life.
Her duties will include to call and preside at the annual business meeting and meetings of the executive board, to recommend chairs of standing committees with the exception of the awards committee and to make an annual report to the Council for Exceptional Children.
This is Edwards’ third year as transition coordinator for the LCSS and her ninth year as a transition coordinator.
