Last week, the annual Farm Day Celebration was held in Long County. Farmers and agricultural staff brought in their equipment and livestock to show local students the importance of the agricultural industry. This year, exhibits included forestry, fur trapping, livestock and large equipment. One of the children’s favorite displays was an “old-time” cornhusking demonstration. The event is sponsored by the Long County Georgia Farm Bureau office and coordinated by Linda Hall. Go to www.coastalcourier.com to see more pictures from the day.
