FFA team ranks fourth in area contest

The Bradwell Institute FFA Floriculture Team recently competed in the Area VI Floriculture Career Development Event at Berrien County High School in Nashville, Ga.
The junior team consisted of Madeline May, Janelle Terrell and Brandee Craig. Team members identified floriculture and bedding plant materials and ways to treat unhealthy plants due to pests, nutritional, mechanical or chemical injuries. The team ranked fourth overall in the area competition. May ranked second individually out of 41 students.   
FFA is a national organization of more than 449,000 members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture.
Chansi Coleman is the FFA advisor at Bradwell Institute. The Floriculture Career Development Event is sponsored by the Georgia FFA Foundation.
