FPCA Math-A-Thon benefit breaks record

First Presbyterian Christian Academy recently raised a record $2,809.40 during its annual Math-A-Thon fundraiser.
That amount topped each previous year for FPCA in the event. The school has raised $30,630.33 for St. Jude during the past 16 years of participation.
The Math-A-Thon is open to students from kindergarten through middle school.
Participants receive a math booklet with 100 math questions based on their current grade levels and get family and friends to sponsor them by donating money.
This year’s 31 participants were: Bianca Duncan, Zoey Fina, Juliet Assums, Ashlynne Smith, Madelyn Smith, Caroline Rearley, Ginny Nutting, Amia Durrence, Cameron Eason, Aidan Hendrix, Timothy Christensen, Chase Martin, Sydney Curtis, Suzie Brown, Victoria Collas, D.J. Christense, K.J. Thomas, Katie Rearley, Connor Ling, Weston Lormis, Jake Crider, Morgan Thomas, Casey Rearley, Emma Davis, Teri Brown, Dustin Brown and Ann Marie Thomas.
The top money earners for kindergarten through second grade were Ashylnne Smith and Ginny Nutting, who was the top fundraiser.
K.J. Thomas and Morgan Thomas were the top earners in third through fifth grade.
Ann Marie Thomas and Dustin Brown were the top two middle-school earners.
