SAVANNAH — Beginning today, GED certificate testing fees will increase $13 to $32 per test with the full battery of tests increasing $65 to $160.
Additionally, all test registration and testing will be done online.
To help students understand these changes, Savannah Technical College has free information sessions July 16-20 in four locations. At the sessions, students will learn about computer-based testing and watch a demonstration. They also will learn how to register and schedule a test, what scholarship opportunities are available and how to complete the application for underage youth.
Here is the schedule:
July 16 — 9 a.m., Crossroad campus auditorium in Savannah
July 18 — 9 a.m., Savannah campus academic commons room 126
July 19 — 9 a.m., Liberty Campus in Hinesville, room 138
July 20 — 9 a.m., Effingham campus in Rincon, room 135
Information sessions are first-come, first served. For information, call 443-5446 or go to www.savannahtech.edu/cwo/GED_Adult_Education and look for the GED Computer-Based Testing Registration Information link.
