Patrick Underwood, a student at Liberty County High School, was featured on Georgia Southern University Liberty Campus’ Dual Enrollment Student Spotlight feature last week.

Here’s what it said:

What is your favorite thing about Georgia Southern — Armstrong?

My favorite thing about Armstrong is having the opportunity to attend at an early age of 15, and taking advantage of the dual enrollment program, which will also help me become successful both academically and financially now and in the future.

What are your future career goals?

My future career goals are to graduate high school and Armstrong with both my high school diploma and college associate degree simultaneously. I would like to then continue my education and study sports medicine/physical therapy. Hopefully, I’ll receive an academic, as well as, sports scholarship, and perhaps play in the MLB or NBA someday.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment is attending Armstrong State University while in high school and having a 4.0 gpa while there, as well as 3.6 while in high school and maintaining my sports like (baseball, basketball and football) and my organizations and events, and being selected as a Young Adult Liberty County Leader. And receiving a letter from United States President Barak Obama when I was only 8 years old and having a very supportive and loving family.

What advice would you give a newly-enrolled dual enrollment student?

Advice I’d give newly enrolled dual enrollment students is to certainly to take advantage of this amazing opportunity, but to also complete assignments prior to the due date. Study, study, study, study.
