Glennville Christian Academy will crown its 2008 homecoming king and queen on Friday evening, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m. in the GCA gym.
Last year's King Heith Dykes and Queen Sarah Glisson will take part in the coronation. This year's event will feature a combined choir composed of past and present students and faculty. Susan Waters, director of Carter's Funeral Home in Glennville and former fine arts teacher at GCA will serve as director. People interested in joining this choir are asked to be present for a rehearsal slated for Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the gym. The public is cordially invited to attend.
On March 1, a special lineup of alumni activities will be held. The day will begin at 9 a.m. with the annual faculty-student basketball game. This will be followed by a girls varsity-alumni competition.  The morning will close out with the 2007-08 varsity boys facing off against an alumni men team.
The 2008 senior class will provide a meal for participants and spectators as part of their senior trip fundraising.
At 1:30 p.m. Dr. Paul Thompson, local physician and newly elected chairman of the GCA School Board, will preside over the formation of the GCA Alumni Association.
