United Military Care donated 22 new Techie Bears to the Liberty County Pre-K Center on April 16.
The bears, valued at more than $1,000, hold iPads for student use and make it possible for 4- and 5-year-olds to use technology.
The bears were donated by Toys ‘R Us to the organization to share with children in military communities throughout Coastal Georgia.  According to a news release, United Military Care works to protect, preserve and honor America’s military families and service members for their service and sacrifice by providing hope and honor during hardship. Members heard about the Pre-K Center’s work with technology from Adrienne Matthews, the center’s technology teacher.
United Military Care is at 400 N. Main Street in Hinesville.
