The Liberty County School System had is second annual Holiday Extravaganza on Tuesday and Thursday at the Performing Arts Center.
Community members had a chance to enjoy holiday fun with their family and friends. There were performances by school chorus and bands, a decorated Christmas tree from each school, face painting, storytime with Mrs. Claus, pictures with Santa Claus, a teddy bear clinic and holiday arts and crafts.
“Last year was our first year and we received really positive feedback,” Liberty County School System Chief Information Officer Patti Crane said. “So we said, ‘Absolutely, we want to have a second year.’ It’s been great. … It’s been really positive, and they enjoy coming out again and having something to do in the community after school and just some family-together time.”
