Jordye Bacon Elementary School had its campus clean-up day March 6. More than 130 community residents pitched in to help with spring cleaning. JBE staff, students and volunteers worked to clean playground equipment, pick up pinecones, clean sidewalks and tidy up other areas of the school.  The volunteers also created two vegetable gardens that students will use.
This event was part of Disney’s “Give A Day, Get A Day” promotion, which gives all registered volunteers a free Disney ticket.
The school thanked OMI, Lowe’s, Xpress Signs and Warnell Smiley for helping with the cleanup.
