Donnie Pulliam was inducted into The National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Morehouse College on Oct. 4.
The NSCS, comprised of high-achieving college students, is the only honor society to recognize the academic accomplishments of first- and second-year college students. Membership is by invitation only and those asked to join must rank in the top 20 percent of their college class.
On Sept. 2, Pulliam received a scholarship from Console & Hollawell, P.C., a personal-injury law firm in Marlton, New Jersey. His winning essay was selected from more than 1,000 applicants. The firm also honored Pulliam by posting his photo and biography on their website and Facebook page.
Currently, Pulliam is a sophomore at Morehouse College. He is a 2013 Liberty County High School honor graduate. He is the son of Monica and James Payno of Midway.
