Lewis Frasier Middle School recently was designated the No. 1 “First In Math School” in Georgia and the No. 10 “First In Math School” in the nation. More than 1 million students around the country took part in the online competition. Approximately 100 LFMS students, who comprised five teams, participated this year. LFMS also had the top sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade teams in the state; the top sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade student players in the state; and top teacher-player in the state.
Brett Eaker, president of Hart Inc., which oversees “First in Math” in the Carolinas and Georgia, visited LFMS to recognize administration, teachers and students for their accomplishments.
