Liberty schools accepting news online

The Liberty County School System is offering a new way for the public to communicate with the district.
The system recently unveiled the online news-submission site, a web-based tool that allows users to submit news items and calendar events that pertain to the education of Liberty County students. To access the submission site, go to www.liberty.k12.ga.us and click on the “News Submission Site.”
Users are encouraged to submit information about school events, awards and recognitions. Due to the large volume of requests, information should be submitted at least two weeks before the date of the event. It is the user’s responsibility to submit accurate and complete information, including the event’s objective, purpose, time, date, location, cost and point of contact. Spell out abbreviations and complete all applicable fields.
Users must include an email address, phone number and their relationship with the school system so LCSS can respond to the submission and verify the user’s information.
For more information, email Assistant Superintendent for Operations John Lyles at jlyles@liberty.k12.ga.us or call 876-2161.
