Live Oak Public Libraries is accepting entries for the Savannah Children’s Book Festival poster contest through April 30. The theme of the posters should be books, reading or libraries.
First-, second- and third-place winners in the following age groups will receive gift cards from local art supply stores: elementary school, middle school, high school and college students.
Posters must be on letter-sized paper and should not include any wording. For a complete list of poster guidelines, go to www.liveoakpl.org.
Submissions may be dropped off at any library branch in Chatham, Effingham or Liberty counties. Winners will be posted on the Web site May 8.
“We’re very excited about this year’s festival poster contest,” said Christy Divine, Live Oak Public Libraries marketing director. “It’s a great way to involve art students of all ages in the book festival and it gives everyone an opportunity to share and showcase their work.”
Divine added that the poster contest is the first step in a yearlong process leading up to the festival, set for Nov. 14.
