Long career students shine at regionals

All seven Long County High School participants medaled at the regional STAR event Feb. 23 in Hinesville.
The participants were representing LCHS’ chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America.
Jenea Houston and Tianna Bell received gold medals in Entrepreneurship Junior to earn a berth in the state competition.
Cheyanne Kuzlik, Morgan Bennett and Carmela Ciccone received a silver medal in Life Event Planning Senior and will go to state.
Maegan DeLoach received a silver medal in Teach and Train Jr. for a state berth.
Hannah Williams received a bronze medal in Recycle and Redesign.
“Each event was unique and required the students to learn valuable information that will impact their lives for years to come,” chapter adviser Bethany Gilliam said.
The state competition was scheduled for March 15 in Athens.
