Long County High School will hold its 2013 Winter Homecoming ceremony Friday during a break between the boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball games. Before the event, the high school will allow students to participate in themed dress-up days. Friday is spirit day, and everyone will wear the school’s colors — blue and white. There also will be a social for the homecoming representatives and a basketball bash for the whole school.
This year’s representatives from the freshman class are Holden Osburn, Ulises Franco and Iaonnis Watkins. The sophomore representatives are Francisco Mejia, Michael Abram and Clay Strickland. The junior representatives are Dorian Adkins, Brandon Abbott and Vanda Vereen Jr. The senior representatives are Jacob Turner, Chris LaRochester, David Gilmore, Josh Berry and Jamaal Anderson. The representatives were chosen by their peers, and a homecoming king will be crowned Friday when the boys and girls basketball teams take on the Bryan County Redskins.
