Long County High School will celebrate Homecoming from Tuesday through Friday.
The theme selected for this year is "Once Upon a Tide."
The highlight of the week will be Friday night’s game against the Pierce County Bears at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans Stadium.
At half-time, members of the Homecoming Court will be recognized, and the 2017 Long County High School Homecoming Queen will be crowned.
Vying for the queen’s crown, the senior members of the court include Shontesia Alexander, Mitzi Dasher, Hailey Hendrix, Carrie Holtz, Taryn Lykes, Elizabeth Middleton and Ch’Hyya Wright.
In addition to the queen, one representative of each grade level will be crowned Homecoming Princess.
Junior representatives include Kami Anders, Sophie Cooper, and Emily Ontiveros, and sophomore representatives include Melissa Cruz, Ainsley Dawson and Chante Thomas.
The freshman representatives are Alexia Inman, Ajmanni Jefferson and Liz Wingate.
Representing the LCHS Pre-K class are Paisley Deloach and Jasper Fultz.
All are invited to the Homecoming parade Thursday. Parade participants will begin lining up at 5 p.m. at the Long County Middle School bus parking lot. At 6 p.m. the parade will begin making its way from the middle school down Highway 57 to Walker Street and end at Long County Middle School.
Following the parade, the annual Homecoming Bash will be held at Long County High School from 7-9 p.m. with food, fun, games, and rides for all.
