Smiley Elementary School second-grader Chandler Howard recently was recognized by WTOC Channel 11 for winning the Division-A of a St. Patrick’s Day online coloring contest.
According to WTOC programming coordinator Christine Edwards, Howard’s drawing was very creative and best represented the theme of St. Patrick’s Day. 
In addition to being the Division-A winner, Howard’s drawing also won third place in the overall competition, being selected from over 1,600 entries from more than 40 schools in nine counties.
