The food items were to be donated to Manna House in conjunction with Georgia Power’s canned food drive. The collection was in the school Oct. 26-30. The Builders Club used money out of their treasury to buy candy so students who gave a non-perishable item could have one piece of candy for each donation. Homerooms competed to see who could bring in the most items. Richard Samuel’s seventh grade homeroom won the challenge with 249 items.
