Joseph Allen Pearson graduated cum laude from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Services on May 17. He received a Bachelor of Science in foreign studies.
He is the son of Angela Collins of Hinesville and Tony Pearson of Blackshear. His maternal grandparents are Sue and Harlan Burchfield of Ludowici, and his paternal grandparents are Margaret and Bobby Pearson of Blackshear.
He will begin work as a bilingual educator in the Washington, D.C., public-school system, teaching grades two through eight.
