Liberty County High School Principal Paula Scott chats with a different group of seniors on a weekly basis. The students have the opportunity to ask questions and to get to know her up close.
Each student receives a personal invitation to the chat session, refreshments and the opportunity to win prizes at the end of the session.
During the sessions, Scott explains the school’s policies and procedures on topics such as the dress code, the school-lunch program and cell-phone use. In return, students have the opportunity to express their concerns and offer suggestions on improving the school.
Scott planned to have met with all seniors by the end of February.
Administration is considering similar activities for the junior, sophomore and freshmen classes.
