Reading team wins first in region

The Joseph Martin Elementary team took first place at the regional level of the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl Feb. 4 at Valdosta State University.
The JME team, which topped teams from five other schools in the region, will compete in the division bowl Feb. 25 at Southeast Bulloch High School in Brooklet. 
The first-place team at the division bowl will compete at the state level in March at the University of Georgia.
