Snelson-Golden bee winners honored

Snelson-Golden Middle School conducted its annual spelling bee Dec. 12. Team winners from each grade level were selected from individual classroom spelling bee winners and alternates. Students were reportedly well prepared for this event and performed an excellent job with their spelling. The sixth-grade winner was Jacoby Hardy and runner up was Daniel West. The seventh-grade winner was Joellyn Francis and runner up was Jasmine Jones. The eighth-grade winner was Evan Crowther and runner up was Deloris Urban. The school winner was Joellyn Francis. All winners will participate in a countywide spelling bee at 9 a.m. Jan. 25 at Lewis Frasier Middle School.
