Bobby Cagle, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, paid a visit last week to the Liberty County Pre-K Center.
He toured classrooms, interacted with students and spoke with administrators about recent pre-K changes.
Students had been learning about Hawaiian culture in class and Ty’rese Bridgette, from Amanda Rodriguez’s class, gave Cagle a hug after presenting him with a lei.
The Department of Early Care and Learning oversees the operation of pre-kindergarten and other early learning programs for children in the state.
