The council members meet three times during the school year with Barge to discuss how decisions made at the state level affect students throughout Georgia.

All students in grades nine-12 are eligible to apply.
Meeting dates are: Sept. 27, 2013; Feb. 14, 2014; and May 2, 2014. These dates are subject to change. Applications must be received by Sept. 13. Students interested in applying for the council should email Ron Culver at rculver@doe.k12.ga.us.
