The Liberty Campus of Savannah Technical College has added a service to its library operations. The college’s library will now register citizens to vote on an ongoing basis.
Librarian Christina Teasley was recently sworn in as a deputy voting registrar, allowing the college library to offer this valuable service to the community.
“People will be able to pick up an application in the library to complete and submit at their leisure if they prefer,” Teasley said. The college will host a voter registration drive from 8-10 a.m. Monday in the student lounge.
After Monday, applications will be available in the Liberty Campus Library.
Municipal general elections are Nov. 6 and eligible voters must register at least 30 days prior, which means anyone wishing to register at the Savannah Technical College site must do so no later than Friday.
Please bring proof of eligibility: valid photo ID and current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows your name and address.
Contact Christina Teasley cteasley@savannahtech.edu for information.
The Liberty campus of STC is off of Airport Road in Walthourville, next to the Georgia State Patrol building.
