Student's art stirs emotion
Altons Art 250

Bradwell Institute sophomore Alton Guyton has become a professional artist. One of his paintings created in Joanne Remppel’s art class has been sold. The painting, along with other student artwork, was on display in the board of education office the last school quarter and caught the eye of Waldo Pafford school nutrition manager Marie Leigh.  She bought the painting, saying it reminded her of war stories told to her by her mother when she was a child.  At the age of 12, her mother carried her uncle on her back from Yugoslavia to Austria. The board office displays student artwork periodically throughout the year. The public is welcome to stop in and see the displays.
