Students earn academic honors

Shaniece Withrow of Hinesville has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Withrow will be honored during an induction convocation this fall on the campus of Georgia State University.
NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation’s only interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students. Membership, which is by invitation only, is based on grade point average and class standing.

Liberty student makes Middle Georgia College merit list
Lana Ruyack of Liberty County was named to Middle Georgia College’s summer 2011 merit list, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mary Lou Frank recently announced.
To qualify for the list, a student must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 of a possible 4.0 while carrying between 3-11 credit hours.
